Delve Into An Amazing Culinary Talent With A Daring Spirit
Bathandwa Nkambule’s food philosophy is simple: working from a place of love and intention creates great and memorable experiences. She says when you put out good intentions and work from a place of love that it enhances and spreads throughout so that it does not become just another meal, but a portrayal of beauty on a plate.
Her good intentions and love have earned her numerous achievements including appearances on TV, radio, newspapers and magazines as well as online publications. Her highlights include an interview on SOWETO TV and working with the national retail store Ackerman’s magazine where she developed recipes, styled and photographed more than seven shoots.
Bathandwa has become a captivating brand as a whole and loves engaging with people and creating events where she gets to display her culinary skills. She also runs seasonal pop-up restaurants and collaborates with other creatives in the hosting and coordination of food and music events. She loves exploring every food aspect including, but not limited to catering for private events, functions and special occasions of small crowds from 50 to larger crowds of 200 heads.
Known for her great energy and determination, she expands her potential and drive into other avenues such as yoga instruction as well as feats in social activism as the founder of a non-profit organisation called “Sisterhood of Power”. The organisation centres itself on the empowerment of women and implements programs, drives, charities, volunteer work and awareness campaigns on issues that affect women and encourage empowerment.
